Another Successful Surgical Outreach
In October, Dr. Peter Coleman and his surgical team from Monrovia visited Waterfield Medical Center to conduct the second surgical outreach in our newly established Waterfield Surgical Suites. This event marked an important step in expanding our surgical capabilities and providing essential healthcare services to the community.  During this outreach, the surgical team successfully performed surgeries on 49 patients ranging in age from 1 to 73 years old. The procedures addressed a variety of medical needs, with hernia repair being the most common surgery performed. The team’s expertise and dedication ensured that each patient received attentive and high-quality care throughout their treatment and recovery.  We are deeply grateful for the commitment and skill of Dr. Coleman and his team, as well as for the opportunity to serve our patients. We give thanks to God for the successful outcome of the outreach and for the positive impact it has had on everyone involved.
The Worm Project Annual Banquet
The Worm Project is an all-volunteer Christian organization that acquires and distributes medication to combat parasitic worm infections among children in some of the world’s most impoverished nations. Globally, over 800 million children—approximately one-fourth of the world’s children—are vulnerable to these infections. Parasitic worms contribute to physical and cognitive deficits in children through malnutrition. Each year, The Worm Project provides deworming medication to millions of children; each tablet, costing approximately 2.5 cents, treats one child for six months..Â
Â
This year’s Worm Project banquet took place on October 18th in Franconia, PA, featuring Rev. Dr. Richard Stryker of Healthy Women, Healthy Liberia (HWHL) as a keynote speaker. The annual donation of 300,000 albendazole tablets from The Worm Project to HWHL enhances the health and quality of life for many Liberian children.
Â
Dr. Ana Cespedes, Chief Executive Officer of Vitamin Angels, also served as a keynote speaker. Vitamin Angels collaborates with The Worm Project to distribute deworming tablets and supplies maternal and children’s vitamins, positively impacting the well-being of 74 million women and children across more than 65 countries.

A Review from Great Nonprofits
Dr. Chris has an amazing faith story as well as a heart for healing and care in Liberia. She is diligent in supervising and training local residents, supervises students and maintains a clinic that is fiscally responsible in a country where fraud is rampant. I trust the funds we donate will be used to expand, maintain and equip her clinic. Healthy Women, Healthy Liberia is a sterling example of God’s work in providing an outreach we are all proud to support.
