Ebola epidemic update 7/30/14

Ebola epidemic update 7/30/2014

Dr. Chris has been in touch with us to let us know that a state of national emergency has been issued due to the Ebola epidemic.   Effective tomorrow, Thursday, July 31st our HWHL staff will have to stop seeing patients.  All patients will be referred to Rennie Hospital, the governmental run hospital in Kakata.

Here is a message sent to us from Dr. Chris last night:

He is faithful and it is only by His grace that we are able to carry
out our task around here. However, we have decided to close down our
clinic tomorrow. Our mini structure is not capable of handling the
cases that may come to us. We are going to refer them to the nearest
centers that the govt has set up to take care of those patients. This
was a very hard decision to make, but I need to protect our community
health workers and myself. We are going to be in the community
educating the people, but will not see any in our clinic.

Please continued to pray for us. He is indeed faithful.

In Him,
Chris
