Dick worked in the trucking industry as a sales engineer for 38 years. In retirement he has started a small photography business (Bluestem Light Photography).
He has served Christ in his home church, Asbury UMC in Allentown PA where he has taught children’s Sunday school, served as President of the Board of Trustees, Chairman of Church Council and Chairman of Asbury in Mission.
Dick has a heart for mission and has led four mission trips to South Africa and one to Liberia. Currently he is the Global Missions Liaison on the Asbury in Mission committee where he works with mission partners in Liberia, Nepal, South Africa, Ecuador, and Zimbabwe. He is coordinator of Barrels of Love—semiannual shipments of supplies (used clothing, medical supplies, textbooks and more) to our brothers and sisters in Liberia. He also volunteers locally in a classroom of third grade students in a center city school. Dick’s greatest joy comes from sharing Christ’s love locally and throughout the world.
Dick received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University. As an avid cyclist he has completed six Bicycle Tours of Colorado. Dick is married to Linda McCreight and has two children, Kevin and Colleen, and five grandchildren, Ben, Joshua, Jon, Lindsey and Meghan.
