New Dental Clinic at WPHCC – Update

We want to offer you the opportunity to partner with Dr. Chris Hena and Healthy Women, Healthy Liberia.  Did you know that according to the World Health Organization there were only 23 dentists in Liberia in 2010 (http://apps.who.int/gho/data/node.main.HWF2), a country with a population of over 4 million?  And, most of those dentists are located in the capital city of Monrovia.

While we in the United States take dental care for granted, many Liberians live in pain or even die due to dental complications.

When HWHL’s Waterfield Primary Healthcare Center was constructed, a room was provided to accommodate a future dental suite.  Our friends at Project C.U.R.E. (https://projectcure.org/) have agreed to provide us with a complete dental suite for the clinic in Kakata, but we need funding to ship and install the equipment and hire a part-time dentist.

The dental clinic, when completed will be staffed by the part-time dentist as well as dental mission teams who will be present several times a year.

Join us in changing lives through improved dental care in Kakata.  Your donations to Healthy Women, Healthy Liberia, PO Box 816, Waxahachie, TX 75168 will be greatly appreciated.
