Update 9/12/14
Amidst the sad news we are reading and hearing regarding the situation in Liberia, the Healthy Women, Healthy Liberia! Board of Directors is pleased to share that Dr. Chris has arrived safely in the United States!!
She is resting in a private home for a 21 day isolation period as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and World Health Organization for persons traveling from Liberia. She DOES NOT have any symptoms, but has put herself in voluntary quarantine to assure that she is not contagious and cannot possibly carry any disease with her during her upcoming itineration visits.
We are honoring her 21 day time of rest and recuperation as she has seen so much death and trauma in Liberia. She needs peace and quite as she prepares for her upcoming itineration.
Dr. Chris and the the HWHL Board would like to thank you for your continued prayers and support. Please keep our HWHL Community Health workers on the ground in Liberia upholding HWHL’s Vision and Mission, in your prayers for continued health and wisdom.
We will continue to provide updates here on our web site as we prayerfully listen to what God would have HWHL do in Liberia.
