8/19/14 Update

Update from Liberia 8/19/2014

Thank you ALL for your continued support and prayers for Dr. Chris and our Healthy Women, Healthy Liberia! staff in Liberia.

The Paul Allen Family Foundation just closed their matching funds campaign through Globalgiving.com for Ebola relief.  They dedicated more than $125,000 to the effort.  We are waiting to hear the total amount that Healthy Women, Healthy Liberia! raised through this very gracious opportunity.  We would like to thank The Paul Allen Family Foundation and YOU, for your VERY generous donations, support and prayers!

Communication with Dr. Chris is tough to read and comes rarely as internet connection has been challenging.  This is the latest e-mail from Dr. Chris that the Board received early this week:

We are still working on setting up our buckets in the communities. We purchased 100 buckets and 100 large bottles of clorox. We are also going to get some soaps.

C H Rennin hospital lost 11 healthcare professionals last week. They were buried this weekend. We also lost three Pastor’s wives. They were caregivers for different patients according to the news.

Thanks for your prayers and efforts in wanting to get this done.

In Him, Chris
